A new branding concept for the Fish Protection Society (Vissenbescherming), based upon the eye.

1. The eye of Connection
When you look somebody in the eyes you show respect for them, & acknowledge their presence. Perhaps you see their soul… Vissenbescherming wants you to see things differently, to take a closer look into the oceans & see that these creatures too, have souls.

2. The eye of Awareness
The eye is a symbol of seeing, awareness & of witnessing. Vissenbescherming collects data, publishes research & acts as a witness for sea creatures, by giving advice to European institutions.

3. The eye of Protection
In Egyptian & Greek mythology, the eye symbolises protection & good luck. The eye of Horus was painted on boats for safe passage through the seas. Like the symbols of Horus & Hamsa, the logo will protect any being that it looks down upon.
