At Dutchy Design agency I worked on the redesign of the Lobof website. The site has two main functionalities, linking you to retailers that sell items from the site’s handpicked collection of designer furniture, and allowing the user to create their own personalised lookbook.
I analysed the structure of the site to identify areas which could be optimised, consequently working on the copywriting and web design. We wanted to position the website as very high-end, I therefore developed a new content strategy that would better reflect the exclusive and luxury nature of the products. This involved rewriting all textual content, and making the website more brand oriented by creating a dedicated brands page, a product listing per brand, and a more prominent logo section on the home page.
I also looked into ways of making the user more aware of the website’s additional functionality – collating your own lookbook. This entailed restructuring the home page content, adding new textual content, creating more sections dedicated to the lookbook, and designing a new account section where the user is able to build their own lookbook.
The new aesthetic style of the website echoes the contemporary elegance of the products and their minimalist design. www.lobof.com
