Alzheimer’s is a heartbreaking disease which causes memory loss, typically among senior citizens. I was asked to design a poster and flyer to promote Alzheimer week in Alsace. People suffering from Alzheimer’s experience confusion, they lose their sense of direction and may muddle or confuse words. This aspect of the disease is conveyed in the poster through the composition of the word “Alzheimer” which is disordered and has letters out of place. The fading colours and text symbolise the progressive nature of the disease, with the gradient representing the gradual loss of memory.
